New Balance Pedometer Watch

After my last post I realized that some readers might find a lot of functions confusing and disheartening. If you want to get a simple pedometer watch with just the bare bones function of counting and storing your running session's step counts you should look into purchasing a New Balance pedometer watch. New Balance puts out some really nice watches, they are inexpensive and they are durable.

You want to try and find a watch that fits your wrist well and doesn't chafe you if you're running a lot. The New Balance watches, like their shoes, will provide maximum comfort and just the basic pedometer functions. I like the ones that tell time as well as the step count but you don't necessarily have to have that.

The Best Pedometer Watch

The best pedometer watch on the market right now in my opinion is the Sportline Pedometer Heart Rate Watch 960. Some of you may disagree with me and say that a pedometer heart rate watch should not be the best watch on the market but it is the fact that it adds that little bit of extra functionality that makes the watch so good in the first place.

The Sportsline brand produces a lot of good watches. They are always sleek and sexy looking and they always work great. Most of them use the little touch pad on the back of the watch to count your steps and your heart rate and the sensitivity is really accurate. You won't find that you walked 100 steps and see that the watch counted 97, if you did 100 it will say you did 100.

Vibrating Wrist Watch

I saw an ad for this the other day and I thought I should bring it up. No, it isn't really a pedometer watch but I think it is still an interesting concept. There are watches out there now that have alarms built in them that will vibrate on your wrist when reached.

Now you don't have to listen to the crappy beeping noises anymore and it is great for the hearing impaired. Just set your alarm to whatever time you would like it, or set it to go off in a matter of minutes, and once that time limit is reached the watch will violently vibrate and alert you to the time. No longer do your ears have to bleed from obnoxious sounds. Life is tactile people, get used to it.

My Wrist Watch

I guess I should start off by presenting everyone with the watch I wear every day. It is a CASIO Wave Ceptor. My fiance gave it to me for Christmas last year and it has been a very good watch thus far. It has both analog display and a digital display. The cool thing about this particular wrist watch is that it has a little satellite receptor in it that detects the time of day. I never have to set this watch myself because it is set automatically by the computer.

You can change the time zone on the watch and everything. The only thing I wish it had was a pedometer. Pedometer watches have step counters in them but mine unfortunately doesn't have one. I suppose it is better that way though because if I worked out with this wrist watch I would get sweat all over it.

Welcome to Pedometer Wrist Watch!

Just wanted to make a brief post welcoming everyone to the new site. Pedometer Wrist Watch is dedicated to all things related to pedometers and watches. I'll be showcasing some of my favorite pedometer watches as well as some of my favorite watches. If you don't like watches or working out with a pedometer, this site might not be good for you.

Pedometer watches are great little devices that help you keep track of your running work out routines and will keep you motivated to meet your exercise goals. Everyone likes to lose weight but no one wants to put in the work. With a pedometer wrist watch you take all of the focus off weight loss and put it all onto achieving step count goals. By focusing on the step count you forget you're losing weight and have a lot more fun!
